Topic: Electronic Discovery Management and ACEDS - PACO is excited to have Pam Hutchins and Julie Carmona back to continue their presentation from February 2020, to speak with us about the field of electronic discovery and ACEDS (Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialist).
Speakers: Pam Hutchins and Julie Carmona
Pam is the Founder and President of the ACEDS Ohio Chapter. Pam is a Senior eDiscovery Project Manager at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. She has worked in the legal industry for more than 20 years and has worked in the eDiscovery area for more than 10 years. Pam has extensive knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of ESI as they relate to legal matters, including the use of various ESI management and review tools and applications such as Viewpoint, LAW PreDiscovery, Summation, Logikcull, Relativity, Clearwell, Ringtail, Catalyst, Opus2, TextMap, Sanction, CaseMap, X1 Social Discovery, Pin Point Labs Harvester and Blacklight – BlackBag Technologies. She provides in-house consulting and support with respect to electronic discovery including identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review and production. She earned her paralegal degree from Columbus State Community College. She received her CEDS certification from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in 2012 and is also a certified Viewpoint Processing, Review & Analytics Admin.
Julie is an E-Discovery Project Manager in the Vorys Columbus office. Julie has a paralegal degree and has worked in the legal industry for more than 25 years. Julie has extensive trial experience and has managed large scale document reviews and productions involving e-discovery. Julie has a great deal of experience in various ESI applications including Viewpoint and Relativity. She is also a Certified E-Discovery Specialist (ACEDS), certified in ViewPoint, LAW 5.0, Summation and Lean Six Sigma. Julie received her B.A. and her paralegal certificate from Capital University Law School's Paralegal Program.
